Aircraft Component Painter Course
Course Dates
What will I learn?
This course will cover but not be restricted to the following topics:

Safety of aircraft and aircraft painter personnel during preparing and painting of aircraft.
Aircraft design, construction, and mandatory markings.
FOD.
Paint removal techniques.
Surface preparation of aircraft materials - metal alloys, composite and cloth.
Paint technology and paint preparation.
Paint application and painting techniques.
Environmental conditions.
QC paint testing.
Repairs.

Upon successful completion of the course, the candidate will become eligible to attempt the Aircraft Painter Certification Scheme International Certificate of Competency examination.

This course is primarily designed for candidates who have a proven ability in paint application from experience or training in other industries such as automotive paint spraying, however, are not fully aware of the implications and hazards associated with painting aircraft.
